CHANGING EDUCATION PARADIGMS

This RSA Animate was adapted from a talk given at the RSA by Sir Ken Robinson, world-renowned education and creativity expert and recipient of the RSA's Benjamin Franklin award.

The RSA ( Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) is a 258 year-old charity devoted to driving social progress and spreading world-changing ideas. Its wants to enrich societay through ideas and action.

'We believe that all human beings have creative capacities that, when understood and supported, can be mobilised to deliver a 21st century enlightenment.'

BILINGUALISM SYMPOSIUM

Katherine Bilsborough, author of Ace! and OUP teacher trainer, participated in the Jornadas Bilingüismo FEC in Madrid leading a practical workshop about the importance of CLIL. She demonstrated lots of great ways to take advantage of the CLIL sections in Oxford University Press coursebooks by focusing on work in groups. Ensenyar ciències en anglès. La superació d'un triple repte

 Aquest article planteja que ensenyar ciències en anglès comporta enfrontar-se i superar tres grans reptes per combinar metodologies diferents amb un objectiu comú: la didàctica i els continguts propis de les ciències, les metodologies associades a l'adquisició de llengües i el marc teòric AICLE. Es presenten vuit principis metodològics que ajuden a la superació del triple repte i guien la creació i l'estructuració d'un model de seqüència didàctica. S'expliquen les fases que ha de tenir la seqüència didàctica i s'il·lustren amb exemples concrets d'activitats. Es conclou amb unes consideracions finals que inclouen reflexions, valoracions i apunten línies de recerca
